Mayweather’s REAL Advantage

Fight night is almost here!  Tonight’s event will be broadcast on HBO Pay-Per-View.  In my prediction, I said that age, specifically Mayweather’s age, is the x-factor.  I neglected to mention another Mayweather x-factor- Leonard Ellerbe.  Don’t underestimate the advantage of having a man in your corner that will rub caress your chest and biceps while gazing lovingly at your face hoping for acknowledgment.

See for yourself (vocals provided by Manny Pacquiao):

Floyd Mayweather vs Shane Mosley : The Moment of Truth

by Francisco Guzman

On Saturday May 1, 2010, Floyd “Money” Mayweather, Jr. is taking on “Sugar” Shane Mosley at the MGM Grand Las Vegas Nevada.  The fight had been billed “Who Are You Picking?” because this is one fight where the prediction could go either way.  It’s been hard for me to pick a winner based on the intangibles that both fighters have going into this fight. There are questions on both sides that need to be answered.  They can only be answered May 1st when both men step into that ring.  Mayweather is a gifted fighter who still has youth (33 year old), speed and is still undefeated.  A great defensive fighter who is not easy to hit, Mayweather can be a problem to solve for any fighter. Arreola vs. Adamek Hilarious Post-Fight Interview

Tomasz Adamek 41-1 (27 KO) and Chris Arreola 28-2 (25 KO) put on a pretty good heavyweight fight this past Saturday on HBO’s Boxing After Dark.  In a minor upset, Adamek defeated Arreola via majority decision.

Adamek used his quickness and skills to overcome the bigger, stronger Arreola.  Adamek started quick, out hustling Arreola over the first three rounds.  Arreola stormed back, stalking Adamek and landing power shots in rounds 4,5 and 6.  Adamdek took Arreola’s best shots, weathered the storm and out-boxed Arreola over the next half of the fight.  Arreola, hurt his right hand in the 5th round and was visibly in pain, especially in rounds 10 and 11.  Referee Jack Reiss asked if Arreola wanted to stop fighting in the 11th and Arreola waved Reiss off.

Other than a good scrap, HBO Boxing After Dark viewers were treated to two hilarious post-fight interviews where Adamek declared himself to be Highlander and Chris Arreola acted like, well, Chris Arreola and compared himself to Shrek.

UPDATE: HBO took the video down.  Hope you got to see it!
